Senior Director of Programs and Operations - Tabinda Ghani
Tabinda always knew what she wanted to do. Her higher education, experience, and impact speak for what she is today: a resilient non-profit professional. Tabinda holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and Business Administration, both of which she completed at the University of Houston. She completed her undergraduate degree in Operations Management and her Nonprofit Alliance certification in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston as well. Tabinda has worked in a variety of non-profits including The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston and Harris County Systems of Hope. She joined Amaanah in 2008 leading development and outreach efforts before moving to the Programs Division.
Director of Events - Salma Nassef
If Salma was tasked with the sole responsibility to amplify the energy level and bring on the excitement, she would be up for the task. Her vibrant energy and excitement has proven contagious. Salma began volunteering for one of Amaanah’s distribution events in May 2010 and has gotten hooked since. She now serves as an active member of the Amaanah team, helping with event organization and other crucial tasks. Salma’s background is in science and health education, so reaching out to the community in this capacity came to her naturally. She is currently completing her Master’s in Genetic Counseling at the University of Houston.
